This Policy Forum Proceedings document focuses only on students with disabilities who are placed by any public agency (e.g., Department of Education, Department of Social Services, etc.) in privately run facilities. This document provides recommendations for management systems and student-related issues from select stakeholders (i.e., state departments of education, private schools, family members, related service providers and federally funded technical assistance providers). These participants met in March 2006 to discuss the issues.
