NASDSE is pleased to announce our 2009-2010 Professional Development (Satellite) Conference Series. We continually strive to improve the conference series to best meet the needs of our subscribers through a multitude of formats and viewing options, unlimited online screening through a user-friendly webpage, unlimited c-band satellite downlinks (with videotaping rights) and a master DVD for statewide reproduction.
This series of four telecasts brings nationally-recognized experts to your state using technology, providing an affordable means of quality, cutting-edge personnel development for a variety of stakeholders. Subscribing states receive unlimited rights to rebroadcast and reproduce these conferences for in-state, non-commercial use, providing maximum flexibility to utilize the series to best meet local and statewide professional development needs for state directors of special education, state education agency staff, local administrators, teachers, related service providers, higher education faculty, families, youth leaders, community leaders and other stakeholders. All access information for conference participation is sent to your designated state representative two weeks before each conference to be distributed by your state according to your needs. The online version of the conference will be available the same date as the satellite broadcast listed in this brochure and will remain online throughout the series.
States use these conferences in a variety of ways including, but not limited to: placing copies in all school libraries, hosting screenings of the conferences, distributing DVD copies to professionals at state conferences, viewing through statewide television networks and meeting state continuing education requirements.
